Mushrooms & Health Report:

The Mushrooms and Health 2012 report is the third biennial report, with previous reports being completed in 2008 and 2010. It was prepared by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia's largest and most diversified food research organization www.csiro.au. It involved a systematic literature search using the databases of PubMed, SCOPUS, Food Science and Technology Abstracts, Web of Science, Cochrane Central, Johanna Briggs Institute, CABI, U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) Registry of Clinical Trials. AGRICOLA and the CSIRO Electronic Journals Collection.

In the first review, approximately 11,000 published papers were identified and about 3,000 were evaluated in detail. Subsequent reviews include published reviews from the previous two years. The 2012 report authors are Dr. Peter Roupas, Associate Professor Manny Noakes, Christine Margetts, and Pennie Taylor.[GC1]
